"Likes what I hears"

date: November 23, 2009

You have it, I enjoyed your little start up, I imagine it could have surged out a bit more with different pianos, a harp and probably an organ into a "stormy" sort of feel, but considering your rhythm and aim at the song, it probably would not have fit. The background is too hollow, a simple background string would have been good to cover that up, a slow song playing in the background, and if you focused the melody to revolve around that, you would have came up with a song that bounces heads. All and all it's not bad, your breaks in pace sort of gotten repetitive, after twice it should have picked up again in my opinion, and to better capitalize on it, you could have sort of composed a new rhythm from that and returned to your original.

Instrument-wise, I don't see any real issues other than the lack thereof. Very nice work.

It has a swift charm to it, that would make it fit anywhere good.
Not really Trance in my opinion, sounds something for suited for the Techno or Dance Genre, but this is good stuff.
If it's not too much trouble, I would like you to review a song of mine.

But it's not good either. A few more instruments would have been nice, maybe a choir, or some strings if you wanted a sad feeling.
It sounded sad for like the first 15 seconds when at that point just got repetitive.

Not really climatic for a last song, you should keep at it, I hope you do.

[DJ-JK] The Wolf Cries

"Sorry for getting to this so late"

date: November 18, 2008

Pretty basic, the rhythm is hard to grasp as it keeps changing, it sounds like a mixture of trance, techno and hip hop, none of which include DnB.
Try a mainstream beat every now and then, it got better further in, but the beginning is misleading and confusing to get down with.

This'd go in the flash if it wasn't already used in others.
I like the aggressiveness of it. Great with a medium takeback.
Very nice work.

date: November 18, 2008

Very nice, cool, relaxing, and at the same time, good battle music *COUGH*CHAOSSONICFIGHTSCENE*COUGH*
Excuse me for that, great work, epic, like a final boss kinda thing, you're making me want to get into DnB, I might try it, a good sidetrack from classical.
Excellent work.

Not bad, yeah, the loudness is offsetting, the type of loud sounds that pains the ears, too scratchy.
Other than that, nice work.

Shadow - Westopolis

"Can't remember the tune from Westopolis"

date: November 16, 2008

But if you wanted to cover a Shadow the Hedgehog tune, then you should have went to your Ichi-Ji (number 1) fan. There is one song in ShTH that I love and and with you making a cover of it, how can I go wrong.
You cover Cosmic Fall for me.
This song still kicks ass, I like how you changed the pace around 1/3 of the way.

Author's Response:

Thnx. Actually this one was a request, unfortunately. So this isnt my best work. By far.

Cosmic Fall? I'll see if I can, I havent gotten through every level of Shadow yet but I'll see what I can do.

=[O]= 0con's loop for NG ;)

"Nice."

date: November 14, 2008

My favorite part about FL8 is that it's easier to merge several projects or divide your own and mix them in that way.
The loop here seems off, but in all, its a nice and steady beat, I'd lable this as trance rather than hip hop, but then again, neither is my specialty.
Nice work, if possible I'd like you to review my latest submission.

Icarus - Dream of Flight

"RPG-ish"

date: October 10, 2008

I can see this song in an RPG, a turn-based one.
Like Skies of Arcadia, or Grandia.
Good work, mellow, adventurous, nice touch with the plane sound effects too.
It swings down to a jazzy tune too, almost as if you are making a protrait of several modes of flight.
Nice work here. Added to favorites.
If its not too much touble, I'd like you to review one of my songs.
Metroid Prime 3 Gandrayda.
