Wow

This was really funny.
If the game's story was constructed by the screenwriters to Ren & Stimpy.

Very nice work here.

I LIKE YOURS MUSICS!

Hmm....

Hey there, nice flash you have going.

Some tips.
Story: ugh, you just sorta threw it in my face, there was no build up, and everything seemed random, it would have been nice to know what was going, such as seeing scene of Station Square being overrun by Androids or something to build up to it. If it was just one movie showing off a fight scene, it wouldn't be that bad, but you're apparently constructing a series here, story is important, work on your build ups, timing and dramatic pauses. You execution was really sloppy.

Animation: I found it awkward how the screen jolted between characters during dialouge, it could have easily transitioned normally and it would have felt more comfortable. The fight scene was superb, but got repetitive, it was going a bit too fast to appreciate anything, not that speed is bad, but again, work on your dramatic pauses.

Concept: Not much to work for since the plot was spat out like it was, but one tip I can give you is to make sure that you capture the character's personality, that was one of the biggest kudos I received when making Chaos Sonic, we don't necessarily need rage induced Androids or Sonic cursing so often. The Android could have no spoken a word, it would have been more understandable that he was fake and it would have been much better for the story in terms of timing when the real Shadow made his entry.

Make your next movie longer, divide it into scenes, it will be much more enjoyable. Make a title screen and a menu, add some stuff to make the watching experience only apart of it. Try to get a logo, you'll appear more organized and respectable as a flash artist.

A nice flash, but it's super rough around the edges, work on those kinks and you'll have a really good flash.
Take care.

"Not bad, in fact I liked it"

Oh, you may want to try and stray from the DBZ theme, God knows that approach has been done to death.

Story = There is a reason there's no build up. I have planned this out already. No one knows my plans except my friend's mentioned in the credits. I'm not trying to sound like an ignorant fag and I'm taking some of your stuff into consideration, stuff I haven't already planned.

Concept = This is in the future and in this Story line Sonic has gone through ALOT. The reason he cusses is because he returned from.......well... I'm not spoiling anything major. If the Android didn't speak Sonic wouldn't have believed it was Shadow for the doctors plan to work.

Thanks for your comments and consideration.

Take care.

I like how you customized the preloader.

Your animation was fairly average, the flash should have been longer, some dialogue boxes for easier reading.
I wish you had a solid plot in the works, that would have made this interesting.

But overall, it's slightly below average. Too much cursing for a Zelda flash, unless it's strictly comedy, it should try to stick with the theme of the character, or at least add some VOs if you want swears.

Not bad, make the next longer with a better fight scene than just one slash.
You have potential, keep it up!

Thanks, I'll try harder next time. Please recommend this for the Zelda Collection

Oooookay....

This wasn't so much a "Guy 1 vs Guy 2" kind of fight, but more of a "Guy 2 beats the shit out of Guy 1", primarily because Luigi put up an extremely poor fight, if you can say he did at all.

Second this flash size is too big for the flash to be so short, did you compress this?
I expected an actual fight, but Micheal hit him like 2 or 3 times, confusing fatality included.

It could have been better if you put more time an effort into this, but this is just sad.
Keep it up, and next time, please do a bit more.

Weegee123 responds:

No, I didnt commpress it, Do I have to?

Here's the gear you need!

That line was strangely funny.
Nice work.

Mizox responds:

0_o seriously? lol, really I just winged the whole thing in one take with no idea what I was gonna say and then animated around it, least effort imaginable to put into a flash and still have it pass

Whoa, whoa whoa....

This flash is too short for a file size this big, did you compress it? If not then I kindly suggest that you do.
There was a huge backtracking scene with no option to skip it, which would have been great to do, especially for those who have already the previous one. Plus you lack a preloader, which is a staple for all good flash movie and games, I pressed the spacebar, and then the whole movie got glitchy on me for like 30 seconds, try and use a preloader next time. And also there was no entertainment value here, it was dialogue and what seemed to be insignificant plot progression, try and add at least one fight scene to make it all feel worth it. There were basically two scenes in the movie, the backtrack wasn't all that much of a scene, and credits in my opinion are exempt from being a scene. This seemed like you were too lazy to go further in with the story, so you called it a day and finished it up, not a good idea.
You animation was average, in movies like these what separates the men from the boys is the overall quality and originality of the fight scenes, which there were none of in this movie, again, your animation skills are good, but not very notable.
The sound was alright, nothing to really comment on about that.
Below average due to both your lack of substance and flash, try a bit harder next time.

Mariomeister responds:

i will, trust me!

HA! HAHAHAHA!!!!!!

Dude, no.
Just....no.
This is too cliched. I can't say it was good, for its intention, because it wasn't.
Horrible plot device, like Mario would whip ass over some mushrooms, and Link confusing a short blurry red and blue figure for Ganon. Just bad. The Animation was poor, very poor. You should work on your movie clips more, probably increase the framerate, find some better sounds, and not be lazy about it. The only way I would desire a sequel is if you actually improved greatly.
I'm not talking about some sort of SMBZ rip, but something---well---good.
Plus you should say "If you want a sequel, say so". What matters is if you want a sequel. If people didn't want one, would you stop and just leave this bad story, a bad story with a cliff hanger? Like the Super Mario Brothers movie?
No sir. Personall, you shouldn't care if people want a sequel or not, make one anyway. But please, improve on your skills.
You may want to reference my Sprite Tutorial, for some extra tips. You may find something good in there.

See you around, and practice please.
The bad animation was funny by the way, which is why my title is what it is.

informative

I don't own a Wii, therefore, contrary to opinions the the first few reviews, I found this useful. The filters will affect me as well as both Chaos Sonic and the BVG, not to mention the big filesizes of both of them. I can get you my sprite tutorial and my newgrounds in flash for you though.

In any case, you breathed too hard into the mic, and you voice presentation was sloppy, but you already had you fair share of people pointing that out, so I will end that here.
I did find 2 things fascinating.
1. Your voice is deeper than I imagined
and
2. I've been miss-pronouncing your name for like--ever.
I'm too used to japanese pronounciation, so I assumed it was (Mee-zox) and not (Mai-zox) like it apparently is. Sorry, hehe.

All and all, nice job.

Mizox responds:

1. I actually have a very wide vocal range, that's just the tone I use when I don't want to sound hyper
2. Mike = Meeke?
3. glow can easily be reproduced with screen capture, bitmap trace, and alpha setting
4. I think that there's an alternate blur which doesn't use the flash 8 filters, I'll look into it next time I use flash... EDIT: yeah, mess around with the timeline effects on graphic symbols
5. I think that the flash player decompresses the jpegs into full quality bitmaps, thus saturating the wii's memory, so if you don't want it to do that then you have to trace them, I think...

Well.

The concept was good, but misleading. I thought you were going to make a story out of this, then it aburptly ends. Your animation was bad. I can't use a better word.
Other than the running and flying, the movie clips moved in the instance that they should stay still. Shadow Armor X does not go in circular motion when using the Saber. Please work on that part. The key asset to sprite animation is animating the sprites right.
Other than that, it was good. I'd like to see you make a story out of this.

virajoshi responds:

Thank you very much for your encouraging response to "MegaMan X: Armors". In my next animation, you shall see those improvements. Thank you again.

Hm...

Its good, your animation is much better than most, your fight scene has some originality in it an dyou get more points for that. The music from Shadow the Hedgehog was also enjoyable. But your flash was waaaay too short. If you wanted a mid to long term flash series, I recommend sitting down and making a full-thought-out story and dividing it for each chapter--that is if you haven't. If you have then nevermind.
Good job, your only real problem was the lack of dialogue and the legnth of the flash itself.

Lizam4 responds:

Thanks for all the pointers and kind reviews. To be honest i started working on this late last year as more of a test animation to practice sprite animation skills in flash. Over time i expanded on it and ended up developing it further than i thought. Thats why i never had a plot/story to begin with. As you can see it just started off with sonic running forward for the first 30 sec - 1min, but i slowly improved towards the end and i involved more action with zooms etc.

All your comments i have taken into account a lot and will definately be put forward towards my next project. Thanks again!
