mostly straightforward, noy completely, for example, sonic battle (and therefore sonic advace 3 as well) takes place after shadow the hedgehog (because shadow has his memories) but in battle, central city is intact, whereas in shadow it took a direct hit from the eclipse cannon (in a scene which I swear was a ripoff of the movie 'Independence Day') and as for the branching and recombining story lines of shadow the hedgehog which the final ending suggests all happened simultaneously to some extent (alien troops are pushed off earth like in hero story, president is hiding in GUN bunker like in dark story, etc.) well, make of that what you will, and as for the temporal paradox in which sonic nexgen prevented itself from occuring...

Okay, I'm gonna break down all the things that is wrong with that.

I really hate to throw a monkey wrench into something that took you hours to make, but the Metal Sonic in Sonic 2 was a prototype for the Metal Sonic from Sonic CD... Also, Gamma was rebuilt after Adventure as Chaos Gamma, so maybe that's how he is there in Sonic Shuffle...
